I love these, January 12, 2012 Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: FRYE Men's Emmett Inside-Zip Boot (Apparel) I went back and forth on this purchase for a while. I am a huge fan of Frye, and I own/have owned at least six other pairs of Frye boots/shoes. You can't beat Frye for style and quality. I believe they are the oldest continuously operating show manufacturer in America. They provided footwear for soldiers during the Civil War!
I wanted a pair of nice, dress boots that I could wear for more formal occasions or even with a suit. I looked at other styles from Frye, like the Oliver and the James. But I am so glad that I went with the Emmett. They are exactly what I wanted. I have worn them with suits and even with my tux, and they look great. They have a great classic style, but at a glance no one would be able to tell you're wearing "boots." They blend in to any outfit like a dress shoe would.
They aren't super cheap, and they don't seem to come down in price much, especially in black. But I am confident that these will be my black dress shoes for years... Read more
